The West Linn Lions maintain their status as the top team in Oregon, even after facing a tough challenge from third-ranked Lake Oswego, where they narrowly lost 21-17. Meanwhile, the Lions continue to showcase their prowess as both the best offensive and defensive team in the state. They’ll have an opportunity to bounce back when they play against sixth-ranked Tualatin on October 25.
On an impressive note, the Lake Oswego Lakers continue their undefeated season after defeating West Linn, a significant win given that they have only allowed one opponent to score more than 17 points throughout their campaign. Averaging 37 points per game, they will face Oregon City next.
In other matchups, Central Catholic Rams continue their perfect record this season with a commanding 42-7 victory over Sandy. They have dominated their last two games, outscoring opponents 79-19. This week, they will take on David Douglas.
The Sheldon Irish also keep their winning streak alive with a solid 38-10 win against South Medford. Star quarterback Kelsen Sperry threw three touchdown passes, while Kerek Kato contributed with two touchdowns and 111 receiving yards. Sheldon is set to play Grants Pass next.
The Wilsonville Bowmen are riding a four-game winning streak and recently triumphed over McMinnville with a score of 62-34. With standout performances showcasing 234 rushing yards and four touchdowns from Wilson Medina, they’ll aim to extend their streak against Liberty this week.
