Indianapolis – The No. 20 ranked Michigan Tech men’s basketball team is gearing up for an exciting journey as they head to Springfield, Illinois, for the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional. The action kicks off on Saturday, March 15, 2025, with the Huskies, who hold the No. 3 seed, set to face the No. 6 seed Northern Michigan Wildcats. Fans can mark their calendars for a 3:30 p.m. (EST) tip-off.

This NCAA Tournament appearance marks a significant milestone for Michigan Tech, as they make their return for the 12th time in the history of the program. It is also a special moment for their head coach, Josh Buettner, as this is his first trip to the tournament since being named the two-time GLIAC Coach of the Year. The Huskies have had a strong season, finishing with a record of 23-7 and conquering the regular season GLIAC title with a conference mark of 17-3.
