Lawrence North Takes Top Spot in High School Football Poll

Indianapolis – There is an exciting new development in Indiana high school football as Lawrence North has secured the No. 1 ranking in Class 6A for the final USA TODAY Network Indiana high school football poll of the season. Boasting an impressive record of 9-0, the Wildcats will head into sectional play as the state’s top-ranked team after concluding their regular season with their first undefeated run since 1989.

With Lawrence North taking the top position, Brownsburg has dropped down to No. 4 following a close 30-23 loss to Hamilton Southeastern in what was their final regular season game. Crown Point fans can also celebrate as their team finishes the season in second place with a perfect record of 9-0. Westfield, with a record of 8-1, rounds out the top three in Class 6A.

In other classes, the rankings appear to be stable. Concord holds onto the No. 1 spot in Class 5A, while New Palestine, Evansville Memorial, Lafayette Central Catholic, and North Judson maintain their top positions in Classes 4A, 3A, 2A, and A, respectively. This ranking is determined through votes from various sportswriters and sportscasters from across the state.
