Auburn, Alabama – As we head into Week 10 of the AHSAA’s 2024 high school football season, three teams have firmly established themselves at the top of their classifications. The Auburn Tigers, led by head coach Keith Etheredge, are dominating the 7A class, having received all 18 first-place votes. They boast an impressive record of 8-0 and a significant lead over second-place Hoover, holding a 73-point advantage in the rankings.

In the 6A class, Saraland, which has appeared in the last two state championship games, picked up 16 first-place votes. With a record of 8-0, they sit ahead of No. 2 ranked Parker, which received the remaining two votes but trails Saraland by 51 points.

Meanwhile, in 5A, Montgomery Catholic continues its winning streak, also nabbing 16 out of 18 first-place votes. The Knights are undefeated at 8-0 and have a comfortable 45-point lead over Central-Clay County, in second place. Montgomery Catholic, the reigning 4A champions, has achieved an incredible 42-game winning streak in regular-season play, stretching back to a loss at Montgomery Academy in September 2020.
