Auburn’s team, under the guidance of coach Keith Etheredge, is showing remarkable strength in Class 7A. They recently swept all 18 first-place votes, boasting an undefeated record of 8-0. With a total of 216 poll points, they lead the second-place team, Hoover, by a significant margin of 73 points. Their closest competitors, Parker, have only received 2 first-place votes and trail by 51 points. Oxford and Spain Park are also in the mix, both boasting solid records of 8-0.
In Class 5A, Montgomery Catholic is showing off their skills, securing 16 of the 18 first-place votes available. With a current record of 8-0, they sit comfortably ahead of Central-Clay County by 45 points. Montgomery Catholic, fresh off their previous win, has an impressive streak of 42 consecutive regular-season victories that dates back to September 2020.
