The St. Thomas Aquinas Saints are having an impressive season. Currently sitting at an undefeated 7-0, they have shown a mix of close victories and strong performances. Last week, they overwhelmed Blue Valley Northwest with a dominant rushing attack, accumulating 402 rushing yards. Leading the charge was Calin Arndt, who contributed 138 yards and two touchdowns. The Saints will look to improve their record to 8-0 when they face Blue Valley North on October 25.

Another team making headlines is the Mill Valley Jaguars, who have won five straight games. They celebrated a season-high 54 points against Shawnee Mission West, showing off their powerful offense and a stingy defense that stifled the Vikings. Running back Reggie Reece ran for 132 yards and scored three touchdowns in the blowout. As they prepare to host Olathe East on the 25th, they aim to extend their winning streak to six games.

Meanwhile, the Trailblazers bounced back nicely after a tough loss with a commanding 50-7 victory over Olathe Northwest. This was their best defensive performance of the season, allowing just seven points. With Syre Padilla leading the way with 114 rushing yards, they are aiming to improve to 7-1 against Olathe West on October 25.

On another note, the Gardner Edgerton Panthers are making waves, reaching their seventh consecutive win with an impressive 51-7 rout of Maize South. Quarterback Drew Kemp threw for 134 yards and rushed for a remarkable two touchdowns. All eyes will be on them as they attempt to reach 8-0 against Bishop Carroll.

Finally, Manhattan remains perfect, securing their third shutout victory of the season. They kept Topeka off the scoreboard while pouring in 52 points last week. With standout performances from Jaydin Hudley and Kha’mario Davis, they will look to continue their success against Washburn Rural.

As the season progresses and playoffs approach, the intensity on the field is building. With various teams finding their rhythm and aiming for top rankings, fans can eagerly anticipate exciting games in the days ahead.
