Mark your calendars because the state finals are just around the corner! Taking place on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the luxurious LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, the stage is set for an unforgettable day of fast-paced racing and nail-biting finishes.
Boys Regional Results
In the boys’ competition, the spotlight was on Columbus North, which triumphed to win its 31st regional championship with an impressive score of 34 points. This victory cements their legacy in Indiana cross country. Closing in behind them, Bloomington North took the second spot with 44 points, while Floyd Central, Barr-Reeve, and Bloomington South also qualified for the state finals with scores of 168, 195, and 224 points, respectively.
Not to be outdone, several Southwestern Indiana teams showcased their grit, with Reitz finishing 7th, Princeton coming in 8th, and Castle placing 9th. The race was electrifying, as Springs Valley junior Calvin Seitz sprinted to victory, clinching the title of individual champion with a stellar time of 14:53.5.
But the excitement didn’t stop there! The top 15 individual finishers from non-advancing teams also earned themselves a spot in the state finals. Some of the standout performers included:
