Boys Soccer Highlights

The boys soccer scene was buzzing with energy, with teams battling it out on the field. Tremendous performances were witnessed, especially by Mateo DeCastroverde from Palo Verde, who netted two second-half goals to lead his team to a 2-0 victory over Western. On the other side, Gavin Flickinger of Coronado absolutely stole the show with an outstanding performance that included two goals and three assists as his team crushed Eldorado with a staggering score of 9-1.

But the excitement didn’t stop there! Desmond Guevara from Arbor View contributed significantly with one goal and an assist, helping his team beat Canyon Springs 4-2. And let’s not forget about Gavin Meng from Shadow Ridge, who scored the game-winner against Cheyenne, securing a tight 2-1 victory for his team. Ian Rivera of Centennial rounded off the fabulous performances with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win against Cimarron-Memorial. It was a day where teamwork truly shone!

On the volleyball courts, the action was just as spectacular! Dalilah Carvajal from Centennial showed incredible skill with 34 assists, 14 digs, and 2 service aces, guiding her team to a smooth 3-0 win over Shadow Ridge in a match that saw scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-17. Not to be outdone, Clara Conrado of Green Valley racked up 31 assists, 19 digs, and a whopping 6 aces to help her team defeat SLAM! Nevada 3-1 in a closely contested match.

Tori Castro from Faith Lutheran outshone the competition with 15 digs, 13 kills, and 2 aces in their 3-1 triumph over Palo Verde. And who could forget Lyla Sneek from Sierra Vista? She played a pivotal role with 39 assists in a nail-biter that saw Sierra Vista just edge out Desert Oasis 3-2 after back-and-forth scores. Mayzie Tobler from Virgin Valley had a day for the books as well, notching 19 assists and 8 aces in a decisive 3-0 victory over Cristo Rey.
