Girls’ Team Shines Bright
The girls’ squad certainly made a name for themselves, finishing seventh out of an impressive 24 competing teams in the combined 1A-6A standings. Leading the charge was the dynamic Rozlyn Stowe, who clocked in an incredible time of 17:09.6. She finished just behind the talented BYU commit, Lily Alder of Timpview, who set a tough benchmark at 17:00.
Other notable performances came from the ever-energetic Josie Yates, who claimed the third spot at 19:03.8. Leading the charge was Michael Weber, who sprinted his way to a remarkable second place with a time of 16:26.7. Not too far behind were teammates Matthew Stromness, finishing third at 16:30.6, and Dallin Humes, who came in fifth place with a time of 16:37.4. Evan Criddle wasn’t far behind either, clinching sixth with a time of 16:38.2.
The boys added more firepower with standout finishes from Bracken Hanson (17:12.8) and Samuel Wilson (17:23.3), which helped the team amass a total of 27 points.
