Schools from across the region, including Flippin, Valley Springs, Bergman, Norfork, and Eureka Springs, gathered to showcase their golfing talents. And what a day it was for Flippin High School’s golf teams, who brought home both the girls’ and boys’ team titles!

A Stellar Performance from the Girls’ Team

The girls’ division was set for a challenging 9-hole format, and it was a nail-biter right down to the end. Flippin’s team, composed entirely of talented freshmen—Mallory Lindsey, Layla Warren, and Izzy Fuller—gave it their all on the course. Mallory Lindsey made a strong run for the medalist title but ultimately finished just a stroke behind, as Cate Shaddy from Norfork clinched the medalist position with a score of 50. However, Flippin’s team stood strong and secured the team victory by a margin of seven shots over Norfork. It was a remarkable achievement for these young golfers!

Boys’ Division: A Showcase of Skill

Meanwhile, the boys’ division was a full-on display of golfing prowess, played over 18 holes. Flippin’s own Hudson Lindsey emerged as the standout star, finishing with a thrilling score of 68 that included an impressive eagle on the final hole. His exceptional performance not only earned him the medalist title, but he also led Flippin to a total team score of 214.

In a remarkable day for Flippin, they managed to place four golfers in the top five of the boys’ division. Notable finishes included:

  • Tucker Thompson (2nd, 71)
  • Peyton Moore (3rd, 75)
  • Truett Lindsey (4th, 81)
  • Luke Haught (5th, Norfork, 79)
