Orlando – The UCF women’s cross country team has revealed its schedule for the upcoming 2025 season, featuring a total of three regular-season meets along with an exciting trip to the Big 12 Championships. This season marks the third for assistant coach Bryan Harmon, who took charge of the Knights’ distance runners when they joined the Big 12.

The Knights are set to bring back 12 experienced runners from last year’s team. They also welcome two freshmen and one transfer athlete to boost their squad. The upcoming season will start with a new event for the team on August 29, when they head to Jacksonville to compete in the Florida Intercollegiate, hosted by North Florida.

Following this in-state opener, the Knights will travel to Huntsville, Alabama, on September 12, for the Southern Showcase at John Hunt Park, hosted by Jax State. As has become tradition, the team will finish its regular-season action at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Illinois, on October 17. Last year at this event, five out of nine runners hit new personal bests, showing tremendous progress.

After the regular season, the Knights will head to Lawrence, Kansas, on October 31, to participate in the Big 12 Championships, their first post-season meet. Then on November 14, they will return to Huntsville for the NCAA South Region Championships. Finally, athletes who qualify will advance to the NCAA National Championship on November 22 in Columbia, Missouri.
