Jeffrey Belizaire made waves this season by securing a spot on the first team after clocking in a remarkable finish in the 800 meters, where he placed fourth at the State Championship. Not only has he brought home County, District, and Regional Titles, but he also holds a record for the lowest time in cross country at Coral Springs High School!
Right alongside him is Cashmere Samuels, who also earned a place on the first team. This talented pole vaulter has been a force to reckon with, being a two-time state qualifier and finishing eighth in his senior year with a stellar personal best. He’s also no stranger to victory, having snagged the BCAA and back-to-back District and Regional Titles.
And let’s not forget about the honorable mentions! Among the boys’ track and field team, Dalton Chance, Sebastian Marrero, Ravi Persaud, Haaozhen Yuan, and Darventz Charite all showcased impressive performances. For the girls’ team, Shaquille Alvaranga, Kaela Burke, Trinity Dajuste, Sofia Evans, and Janelle Swaby earned honorable mentions as well!

In the District Championship match against Atlantic High School, he recorded a staggering 24 kills!
Other players deserving honorable mentions included Daziano Barrett-Daly (121 blocks), Mickinson Jean-Mary (530 assists), and Jayden Thomas (277 digs). What a stellar team effort!
Baseball Battles
baseball team wrapped up their season with a record of 12-14. Their playoff experience included a thrilling victory against Olympic Heights Community High School in the first round. However, their journey ended with a nail-biting loss against Deerfield Beach High School by just one run. On the bright side, honorable mentions went to Jaxon Krugman, who recorded 17 RBIs and hit a home run, along with Angelo Painter, who had a 3-2 record and 40 strikeouts in 36 innings with a 3.11 ERA!

In the realm of tennis, Joseph Mullins also earned an honorable mention, contributing to the team’s two individual match wins in their three matches.
Swim and Cross-Country Achievements
Not to be overlooked, the Coral Springs Charter swim team more than made a splash this season—sending ten athletes to compete at the state competition! Meanwhile, J.P. Taravella’s boys cross-country team showcased their talent by winning the District Championship, placing sixth at Regionals, and finishing 32nd at the State Championship under the leadership of Akeem Beckford. On the other hand, the girls cross-country team from Coral Springs Charter made history by qualifying for the state meet, finishing an impressive ninth overall!
