Baltimore – Free-agent kicker Justin Tucker has been handed a suspension without pay for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 NFL season due to breaches of the league’s personal conduct policy, according to an announcement made by the NFL on Thursday afternoon. The 35-year-old kicker has faced serious allegations from 16 massage therapists claiming improper behavior during massage sessions at various Baltimore-area spas.

After being part of the Baltimore Ravens for an impressive 13 seasons, Tucker was released on May 5. His suspension will officially start on August 26, which coincides with the NFL’s 53-man roster cutdown day. He will be eligible for reinstatement on November 11. Notably, Tucker can serve his suspension while still being a free agent and is allowed to sign with any team at any time. He is also permitted to attend training camp and play in preseason games.

The league had been investigating Tucker following allegations that reportedly dated back to his rookie year in 2012 and continued through 2016. These charges were first publicized by a local news source on January 30. Tucker has firmly denied any allegations of wrongdoing. In a statement released by his agent, Rob Roche, the disappointment regarding the NFL’s decision was clear, but the agent emphasized that Tucker aims to move past this situation and return to the field swiftly.

Being an undrafted free agent from Texas, Tucker’s track record is impressive—he is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and a five-time All-Pro. He holds records as the most accurate kicker in NFL history with an 89.1 field goal percentage and is known for the record-setting 66-yard field goal. However, 2024 marked a challenging season for him, as he achieved a career-low field goal conversion rate of 73.3%.

In a related move, the Ravens have already selected kicker Tyler Loop from Arizona in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, indicating they are moving forward without Tucker.

In other NFL news, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have secured multiyear contract extensions for head coach Todd Bowles and general manager Jason Licht. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville Jaguars are optimistic about the upcoming season for wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., who is also looking to support the No. 2 overall pick, Travis Hunter.

Additionally, with the offseason in full swing, all eyes are on the shifting rosters and anticipating who will end up where as the 2025 NFL offseason unfolds.
