Jacksonville, Florida – Former NFL wide receiver Chris Conley has officially announced his retirement from football after a solid ten-year career in the league. Conley, who made his name with the Jacksonville Jaguars, had his best season in 2019, where he recorded an impressive 47 catches for 775 yards and five touchdowns. Those numbers remain career highs for the 6-foot-3 athlete.

Following that standout year, Conley continued to contribute to the Jaguars for another season, pulling in an additional 40 passes for 471 yards and two scores. Throughout his time in Jacksonville, he amassed a total of 1,246 receiving yards, more than with any other team, showcasing his development as a reliable target on the field.

Conley began his NFL career as a third-round draft pick (76th overall) by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2015. In addition to the Jaguars and Chiefs, he spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, and Tennessee Titans during his time in the league. By the end of his career, he recorded 226 catches, 2,998 receiving yards, and 15 touchdowns.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Conley expressed his initial desire to play for ten seasons, a milestone he is proud to have reached. Moving forward, he plans to return to the University of Georgia to pursue film studies, aiming for a career in filmmaking, a passion that he has long envisioned.
