Columbus, Ohio – After a thrilling week of college football, the latest rankings are in, and it’s a mix of the familiar and some fresh faces. Joel Klatt, a prominent college football analyst, has released his top 10 rankings, highlighting a week that saw some schools making big moves.
Leading the pack is Ohio State, which delivered a commanding shutout victory over Wisconsin, winning 41-0. The Buckeyes showcased a stellar defense, allowing just 41 points through their first seven games, marking the fewest since a legendary Florida State defense in 1993. Quarterback Julian Sayin emerged as a star, throwing for nearly 400 yards, while receiver Carnell Tate racked up over 100 yards and two touchdowns. Despite concerns about their run game, Ohio State’s passing attack is flourishing.
Alabama is also climbing the ranks after a strong performance in recent games, improving to what Klatt describes as a legitimate national championship-caliber team. Meanwhile, Oregon came back with a bang after a loss to Indiana, demolishing Rutgers 56-10 with an impressive 415 rushing yards.
Texas A&M, despite having some struggles on defense, remains a top-5 team according to Klatt. Georgia Tech is moving up after beating Duke 27-18, showcasing the dual-threat abilities of quarterback Haynes King.
Miami, however, faced a setback after a loss to Louisville, dropping them to No. 8. Notre Dame sits at No. 9, despite a couple of losses, while Vanderbilt surprised many by defeating LSU, showcasing a standout performance from quarterback Diego Pavia.
With so much action on the field, the coming weeks promise even more excitement as teams jockey for position in the ever-changing landscape of college football.
