From soccer and field hockey to volleyball, cross-country running, and golf, there’s plenty of action to root for as teams gear up for a competitive season ahead!

Exciting Game Highlights from Week 4

With excitement filling the fields, Week 4 brought us some nail-biting matchups that truly showcased the talent and determination of our young athletes.

  • Essex 2, South Burlington 1 (OT) – Essex’s own Stella Papaseraphim shined with a fantastic overtime goal that secured the win! Ava Conti also contributed a goal, while Olivia Smith racked up two assists. For South Burlington, Reese Gordon was on the board with a goal.
  • Champlain Valley 5, Burlington 0 – Champlain Valley showcased their strength with a commanding victory. Elsa Klein led the charge, netting two goals and adding an assist. The second half was particularly explosive with four of the five goals being scored.
  • Harwood 1, Peoples 0 – A tight contest that went in favor of Harwood thanks to Roanha Chalmers’ lone goal. Goalkeeper Claire Nagurney made a stunning save, ensuring the shutout.
  • Rice 7, Middlebury 0 – Rice came out swinging with a powerful performance, highlighted by Ruby Levinson’s impressive three goals! The Rice goalkeeper, Summer Nelson, also had a solid day with two saves.
