But that’s not all that’s got community spirits soaring. The Troy girls tennis team has been busy shining on the courts as well! They recently played a match against Piqua at the Troy High School tennis courts, and what a match it was! The Troy girls emerged victorious with an impressive score of 4-1.
In the singles matches, Nina Short put on a fantastic display, defeating Ava Owen with a commanding score of 6-0, 6-1. And Kimber Connors quickly followed with another strong win against Bekah Cantrell, wrapping it up with a score of 6-1, 6-0. Although Lily Pierron from Piqua managed to snag a win against Troy’s Mary White with a clean slate of 6-0, 6-0, the girls’ team didn’t let that dampen their spirits.
When it came to doubles, the Troy girls dominated! Izzy Lutz and Maile Romberger won their match decisively, with a score of 6-1, 6-3.
