The unfortunate collision took place at the intersection of U.S. 20 and Fail Road in La Porte County. Lucas was not alone in this tragic event, as six other students and one coach were also onboard the bus, suffering injuries of varying degrees. Thankfully, all except Lucas have since been released from the hospital.
