Local runners from various schools laced up their running shoes and took to the trails, but it was the Versailles High School teams that truly stole the show!

Victory for Versailles

The Versailles girls and boys cross country teams both clinched first place, marking a fantastic achievement for the school. The atmosphere at the park was electric, with supporters cheering on their favorite athletes. The anticipation grew as the runners readied themselves for the day’s challenges.

In the girls’ race, junior superstar Ava Rismiller showed her prowess by finishing strong in first place. Her impressive time of 20:09.6 left spectators in awe. Following her, fellow team members shone brightly as well. Lillian Selhorst, a determined sophomore, crossed the finish line in 11th place with a time of 21:19.0, while freshman newcomer Blair Schellhase wasn’t far behind, claiming 12th with a time of 21:20.6. Over at the Buccaneer FOE 3998 Invitational in Covington, the Arcanum teams made their mark as both the boys and girls secured fourth place overall.
