Soccer has kicked off with some thrilling matchups. No. 14 UMass came out strong, defeating Vermont 2-0, while the clash between No. 1 Vermont and American ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. Rice’s team showed their prowess by beating Stowe 3-0, with Sara Guidice shining bright by netting 2 goals. Essex secured a narrow victory with a 1-0 win over South Burlington, thanks to Hazel Fry, who scored the winning goal with just 5 minutes left on the clock.

In another exciting showdown, Champlain Valley triumphed over Burlington with a commanding score of 6-1, featuring a hat trick from the impressive Elsa Klein.
