These swimmers bring with them impressive credentials and a passionate desire to compete. Let’s dive into some standout athletes to keep an eye on this season!

Ava Baldwin from Aubrey Rogers High School is a senior who already has an impressive record. Last season, she won a district title in the 100 free and finished third at regionals. At the state level, she came in 16th in the same event and impressively finished 11th in the 50 free. This year, she’ll be looking to improve on those finishes!

Over at Naples High School, Madison Bates, also a senior, had a remarkable performance last season, clinching the district title in the 100 back and securing a spot at the Class 2A state meet. She adds the 200 IM to her repertoire this year, setting her sights high on the competition.

Gianna Buchanan, a junior at Naples, is another athlete to watch. After placing eighth at last year’s state meet in the 500 free, she is prepared to challenge herself again. Meanwhile, her sister, Mila Buchanan, once again showcases her talent this season with her impressive performance in the 100 fly.

A thrilling list also includes Toula Hickmon, who as a sophomore at Naples, has already proven herself with a district crown and a stellar finish at the Class 2A state meet last year! Little sister energy is on display this year as the Hickmon sisters prepare to take another swing at the title.

Emerging Stars

Newcomers like Cameron Vetor, a freshman at Aubrey Rogers, are making waves as well. Securing an eighth-place finish in the 100 breast at the Class 2A state meet already, she’s ready to prove herself as one of the future stars of the league!

We can’t forget about Richey Klein from Naples High, who continues to raise the bar in diving after snagging regional and district titles last season. With a second-place finish at the Class 2A state meet, the talented diver will be sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats again this year.

Over at Gulf Coast, Dumont has also established herself as a fierce contender after winning district titles in the 100 free and 200 IM. She looks to gain ground at the regional and state levels as she continues to develop her skills this season.

Duels and Relays

This season, teamwork will also shine through. Athletes such as Layton from Naples played a crucial role in helping her team finish eighth in the highly competitive 200 free relay in Class 2A. Expect the relays to be exciting battles throughout the season!
