Seattle is buzzing with excitement as the Seahawks gear up for their training camp. On Monday, the team announced two key signings to bolster their roster: rookie cornerback Kam Alexander and nose tackle Justin Rogers. These moves come after the Seahawks waived rookie cornerback Zy Alexander due to a non-football injury.
Rogers, who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 338 pounds, was picked in the seventh round by the Dallas Cowboys last year. After spending time on the Bengals practice squad, he was signed to Dallas’ 53-man roster but didn’t play in any regular-season games. Rogers started his college career at Kentucky before transferring to Auburn, where he had a strong final season recording 17 tackles and a sack.
On the other hand, Kam Alexander, who went undrafted from Oregon, joined the Seahawks after a successful stint at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). In his one season at Oregon, he played in 12 games tallying four tackles and an interception. Alexander is known for his standout performance in high school, both in football and track and field.
As the Seahawks prepare for their 50th season, tickets for the 2025 season are now available, allowing fans to secure their spots for what promises to be an exciting year. The Seahawks organization is also completing its draft class signings, with tight end Elijah Arroyo also added recently.
Additionally, fans learned that defensive end Uchenna Nwosu has started camp on the physically unable to perform list after knee surgery this offseason. Stay tuned as the Seahawks look to build a competitive roster heading into the new season.
