Golf Enthusiasts Celebrate Stunning Aces!
First up, Russ Montgomery hit a stellar hole-in-one at the Oxbow Golf Course on the 105-yard par 3 fourth hole. With a pitching wedge in hand, Montgomery made this unforgettable shot, witnessed by friends Bryan Dowler and Steve Florence. What a moment of triumph!
Meanwhile, on the same day, Donnie Miller also got in on the action by scoring a hole-in-one at the Minibel Golf Course’s 5th hole. Using his trusty 7 iron, Miller’s shot was cheered on by friends Zach Miller, Braydon Duty, Dakota Duty, and Stacy Gage. Two hole-in-ones in a single day? Tennis Season Kicks Off!

- July 28-August 1: 1-2:30 p.m.
- August 4-8: 10:30 a.m.-noon
- August 11-15 & August 18-22: 5:15-6:45 p.m.

Tennis Parent Meeting and Upcoming Tournaments
Parents, don’t forget about the important meeting scheduled for July 27 at 4 p.m. at Hamilton Middle School. It’s a great opportunity to gather all the details you need and get prepared for the season ahead—make sure to bring a chair!
For the tennis aficionados, the MOVTA Summer Tennis Tournament is around the corner! Set to take place on July 26-27 at the Jackson Park tennis courts, matches will kick off as early as 9 a.m. on July 26. Players who are participating can check their match times by calling Mike Politz after 6 p.m. on July 24.
The MOVTA tournament will feature exciting round-robin play, allowing players to sign up for up to two events, with a small fee of $15 per event for singles and doubles alike. There will be Boys and Girls divisions for ages 10u, 12u, and 14u, creating plenty of opportunities for young talent to shine!

Also coming up is the WVU Baseball Camp, happening at The Dugout in Parkersburg on July 24, from 4-7 p.m. This promises to be a dynamic experience for kids ages 5-12. And let’s not forget about the local junior tennis tournaments lined up, including:
