Baltimore – Former Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has been suspended for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 NFL season, as announced by the league on Thursday. Tucker will be eligible for reinstatement on November 11. The suspension comes after Tucker was found to have violated the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy, following months of allegations regarding inappropriate behavior during therapy sessions.
Tucker, who was a long-time key player for the Ravens, was released from the team on May 5, shortly after they selected a new kicker in the 2025 NFL Draft. The league’s statement indicates that he is free to sign with another team while serving his suspension, which means he could still find a new home for the season. If he does sign with a team, he will be allowed to participate in training camp and preseason games as long as he joins before the season starts.
Michael Belsky, an attorney representing some of Tucker’s alleged victims, expressed that the NFL’s findings confirm the experiences shared by the victims. In a recent statement, Belsky said, “It would have been simple for Mr. Tucker to simply have acknowledged these experiences and apologized for them months ago. Instead, by attacking the victim’s credibility, he ultimately revictimized them. This was not necessary and should not be acceptable.”
With such a significant suspension, the future for Tucker remains unclear as the NFL season approaches. Fans and analysts alike will be watching to see if he can re-establish his career and address the serious issues that led to this decision.
