After a massive 19-run performance in Game 2, Murray State faced a much tougher game on Monday, but still managed to defeat Duke, 5-4. This achievement marks a historic milestone for the Racers, as they advance to the CWS for the very first time in program history. They will join other top teams including Louisville, Arizona, LSU, Coastal Carolina, Arkansas, UCLA, and Oregon State in this year’s tournament.

The CWS will represent a diverse mix of talent with teams repping seven different conferences, such as the Sun Belt and Missouri Valley. Viewers can expect high-energy matchups as these schools vie for the championship title.

In the super regional, Louisville took down Miami after a close game that ended 3-2, thanks to Eddie King Jr.’s crucial RBI double in the seventh inning, securing the team’s return to Omaha for the sixth time under coach Dan McDonnell.
