High Achievers Ready to Shine

Out of the 19 seniors, the group includes 14 boys and 5 girls who signed their letters of intent. It’s an impressive turnout that reflects the incredible skills fostered right here in Santa Barbara. Each of these young athletes has demonstrated hard work and commitment, and now, they’ll be represented on college campuses everywhere!

Where Are They Heading?

First off, Samuel Anum, hailing from Ghana, will be taking his talents to the prestigious Amherst College in Massachusetts, competing in Division 3. On the West Coast scene, we have Bridge Baltes from Laguna Blanca High School donning the blue and gold for UCLA. Talk about a dream come true for this budding athlete!

Giovanni Chavez is staying in California for Division 2 soccer, joining CSU San Bernardino. Meanwhile, Adam Ding, who spent part of his high school years in England, will be sporting the colors of St. Mary’s College as he competes at the Division 1 level.

For those looking to go Ivy League, Keean Elliott from Santa Barbara High School has earned a spot on the Harvard team, and Giacomo Gabrielli, a Dos Pueblos grad, is set to join the Princeton Tigers. Both schools are renowned for their academic rigor, and now these amazing athletes can add soccer to their impressive resumes.

Locally, we will see Irving Garcia, Diego Gonzalez, and Noah Jimenez take to the pitch for Santa Barbara City College (SBCC). All remaining locals will be thrilled to see their homegrown talent shine right here in town!

On the women’s side, Kenzie Hessell is off to the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, balancing her academic pursuits with the beautiful game of soccer.
