800 Meters – Speed and Endurance Combine
In the 800 meters, we have Yosuke Shibata from South Eugene making waves with an impressive time of 1:54.2. That’s a fantastic achievement, landing him in 2nd place statewide. This event pushes athletes to balance both speed and endurance, and Shibata seems to have won that balancing act!
1,500 Meters – A Real Race to the Finish
Moving on to the 1,500 meters, there is a lot of excitement, with multiple athletes from the area shining brightly. Cricket Phipps from North Eugene has soared to the top of the rankings, finishing with an impressive time of 4:35.43, tying for the first place! Not far behind, we also see Carter Bengtson from Cottage Grove clocking a speedy 4:04.41 for the male counterpart.

Field Events – Where Skill Meets Precision
The field events haven’t been left out of the spotlight either! Addison Kleinke from Churchill has taken pole vaulting to new heights with a record of 14’ ¾”, marking it as an all-time state record! Meanwhile, in triple jump, Eli Forsha from Sheldon is leaving everyone in awe by landing a phenomenal 48’ 11½”. This jump puts him on the all-time list for 6A—what a feat!
In the high jump, we see Aspen Gambee from Junction City clearing 5’ 2”, while the action in the discus sees Kaleb Moore from Junction City achieving a remarkable throw of 179’ 3”, placing him 1st in state and even climbing the charts of the 4A all-time list. Truly commendable!
