In a recent game against Lincoln-Sudbury, Megan delivered an impressive performance that had fans buzzing. She went a staggering 4-for-5, scoring 2 runs and driving home 3 RBIs, which played a crucial role in leading her team to a resounding 12-0 victory. This kind of energy on the field not only showcases her skills but also demonstrates how her efforts contribute to her team’s success.
Another Week of Outstanding Talent
While Megan certainly stole the show, she wasn’t the only player putting in great efforts this week. The competition was fierce, with several other athletes shining bright and putting up eye-popping statistics. For instance, Beer pitched excellently during a tight match against Hingham, allowing only 2 hits with 4 strikeouts, helping her team to maintain a 3-1 win.
Then there’s Ondrick, who was nothing short of extraordinary with a 5-inning no-hitter that included an impressive 14 strikeouts against Brookline, while also smashing two home runs during the same game. Talk about a double whammy!
Iovanna also shone brightly on the mound, allowing just 1 hit in another commanding 13-0 win over Scituate, complimented by a solid 2-for-3 performance at the plate. And we can’t forget about Donahue, who went 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs in a victorious effort against Framingham. Not to mention, her .438 batting average for the week included a stunning tally of 2 home runs, 2 doubles, 10 RBIs, and 7 runs scored!
Record-Breaking Performances
As if that weren’t enough, Moquin put on an unforgettable show by hitting a 3-run home run and striking out an incredible 11 batters in a 13-1 win over previously unbeaten Plymouth South. Plus, she tossed a 1-hitter with 11 strikeouts in a dominating 18-0 win over Whitman-Hanson and even threw a perfect game covering 5 innings with 13 strikeouts in yet another 13-0 win.
Gropman had her own stellar day, going 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs and crossing home plate 5 times in a 19-3 victory against Dennis-Yarmouth, and Whitaker matched that feat, finishing 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI in an 11-3 win over Plymouth North. Lastly, Moore made headlines with a win on the mound while also hitting a 2-run home run during Carver’s 7-5 victory over Rockland; furthermore, Kelley blasted a grand slam to seal a 10-4 win against Braintree. What a week for high school softball!
