As May rolls in, it’s time to take a breath and look back at how the 2025 high school softball season is shaping up in New Jersey. The season is officially halfway done, and it’s been a whirlwind of excitement and talent on the diamond! Coaches and players have been working hard, and statistics are pouring in that highlight the incredible performances we’ve seen so far in both the Mid-Penn and Tri-County Conferences.
Top Performers in Every Category
The Tri-County Conference has been particularly competitive, showcasing some outstanding players. As of May 5, we have a detailed look at the top statistical leaders across numerous categories. Whether you’re a fan of eye-popping batting averages or jaw-dropping strikeouts, there’s something here for everyone!
Batting Averages to Write Home About
Leading the charge for batting averages is none other than Zea Sullivan from Trinity, boasting an impressive average of .643. Not far behind are Madeline Oyster (Camp Hill) and Kylee Pierce (Milton Hershey), both sitting at .632. Rounding out the top four is Kayla Fletcher from Central Dauphin, hitting .625. It’s a fierce race, but these young ladies are showing up strong!

When it comes to hits, Bree Paetow from Chambersburg is leading the pack with a whopping 34 hits. Following closely are Kendall Boring-Gutshall from Big Spring and Jordan Frye from Lower Dauphin, each racking up 32 hits this season. Talk about making contact!
