Notably, during the Boys Varsity Quad on April 19, he bested competitors from Madison La Follette, Plymouth, and Monroe, winning all three matches in straight sets. But the excitement didn’t stop there! On April 21, Bird faced a tough challenge against Aashrith Kamini from Sun Prairie United. After dropping the first set 6-3, he rebounded beautifully, winning the next two sets 6-4 and 10-4. That victory kept his undefeated streak intact—a true testament to his resilience!

It’s impressive to note that about half of Maddox’s matches have been against players who have qualified for the upcoming state tournament, and he’s already slain two of them.
