The atmosphere was electric at the Missoula County Public Schools Stadium as athletes from various schools took to the track and field to showcase their incredible talents at the Track & Field Top Ten Meet. From sprints to long-distance races, hurdles to relays, our young athletes proved once again that they give their all when it comes to the competition, and nobody shone brighter than Hellgate High School!
Girls’ Sprints: A Display of Speed
It was *noteworthy performances* in the sprints as Hellgate’s Sofia Szollosi took home the gold in the 100m dash with an impressive time of 12.42 seconds. Just behind her, Rachael Wilmot from Whitefish ran a strong race to snag second place at 12.52 seconds. The competition continued as Szollosi also made a splash in the 200m, finishing third with a time of 26.27 seconds, well behind the champion Alivia Rinehart from Flathead, who took the event comfortably with a time of 25.13 seconds.
