Exciting Times Ahead for Massillon as Tigers Unveil 2025 Football Schedule!

If you’re a fan of high school football, then you’re in for a thrilling season ahead! The Massillon Tigers have just announced their highly anticipated 2025 football schedule, and it’s absolutely packed with excitement. This year, the Tigers will be playing in front of their home crowd a whopping nine times! That’s right, folks—this is the perfect opportunity to grab your friends and family and cheer on our favorite team.

Mark Your Calendars!

Get your calendars out because the season kicks off with some electrifying games! The Tigers will open at home against Glenville in Week 1, followed by another home game against GlenOak in Week 2. These are just the warm-ups before the action really heats up. The Tigers will play five exciting out-of-state opponents, giving local fans a fantastic chance to witness diverse teams in action this fall!

Week 3 will feature a showdown against Rabun Gap from Georgia, and in Week 4, they’ll host L.J. Bennett from New York. Make sure you don’t miss Football North from Canada in Week 6, followed by Cardinal Ritter College Prep from Missouri in Week 7. Finally, the Tigers will take on Corner Stone Christian from Texas in Week 8! This rich mix of opponents is bound to create some unforgettable moments on the field.

Home Sweet Home

Along with the out-of-state teams, Massillon will also welcome some tough Ohio rivals to their home turf. In addition to Glenville and GlenOak, determined foes like St. Edward will come to town in Week 5, and Warren Harding will round out our home games with an exciting matchup in Week 9. Each of these games promises fierce competition, and we can’t wait to see how our Tigers rise to the challenge!

Keeping the Streak Alive

After an impressive 11-3 record last season, the Tigers are on a mission. They made it all the way to the regional finals in Division II and came oh-so-close to a victory against Big Walnut. Our Tigers have been on quite a run lately, reaching eight consecutive regional championship games under the watchful eye of head coach Nate Moore. It’s worth mentioning that he enters his 11th season at the helm with a remarkable career record of 110-25, earning him the title of the winningest coach in the program’s illustrious history.

Coach Moore’s playoff success makes even more impressive reading, standing tall at 32-8. Plus, he not only led the Tigers to a glory-filled Divison II state championship in 2023 but also brought home the 25th state title overall! With such a storied past, the passion that surrounds each game just keeps growing.

What’s in Store for 2025?

As the Tigers prepare for the upcoming season, changes are in the works. The offense will have a lot of new faces, returning only two starters from last year. However, fear not! The defense looks particularly strong, with seven full-time starters ready to step up, including five from the fearsome front seven that managed to hold opponents to an average of just 2.8 yards per carry last season.

The rivalry continues, too—Massillon currently holds a fantastic nine-game winning streak against their archrival, Canton McKinley, a streak that dates back to 2016. Coach Moore has a personal record of 9-1 against McKinley, so let’s keep those winning vibes going! As we gear up for the 2025 football season, the anticipation is palpable.

So, let’s rally behind our Massillon Tigers and bring that spirit to the stadium! The schedule is out, the buzz is in the air, and it’s time for us to show up and support our boys. Go Tigers!
