Seattle – Former NFL star Richard Sherman recently shared a troubling experience on social media, revealing that his home was burglarized at gunpoint while his family was present. In a series of posts, Sherman provided screenshots and a video showing the intruders entering his home through a screen window. Reports indicate that at least one of the burglars was armed.
In his post, Sherman expressed his shock, stating, “House being robbed at gun point with my family in it isn’t what anyone wants for a birthday gift. Scary situation that my Wife handled masterfully and kept my kids safe. If anyone has any info that can help find these people please reach out.”
The incident occurred early Sunday morning, prompting a swift response from the King County Sheriff’s Office. According to officials, the investigation is still active; however, as of now, no arrests have been made and no suspects are in custody. Sherman also mentioned that the police informed him that the burglars targetted five homes in his neighborhood.
Richard Sherman, who is well-known for his impressive career in the NFL, played as a cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks and later the San Francisco 49ers.
