Jordan Ricker Named Head Coach at MacArthur High School

SAN ANTONIO – MacArthur High School has officially announced the hiring of Jordan Ricker as the new head football coach and athletic coordinator, bringing a wave of excitement to the Brahma community.

The announcement was made on X, formerly known as Twitter, where the school welcomed Ricker back home. The post read, “WELCOME HOME!! Please join us in welcoming home the new AC/HFC of #BrahmaNation & @FootballBrahma – @Coach_Ricker, Brahma Class of 2007.” This statement reflects the pride the school feels having one of its own take the reins.

Ricker takes over the program after Kevin Hirst, who served as the head coach for several years. The transition brings with it a fresh perspective and a new vision for the team as they head into the upcoming season.

Ricker, who is an alumnus of MacArthur High, expressed his enthusiasm in a statement on X. He said, “I am beyond excited for the opportunity to serve as the athletic coordinator/head football coach at MacArthur High School. As an alumnus, this is a truly special experience.” His passion for the school is evident, as he looks to lead the Brahmas back to success on the field.

Prior to his appointment, Ricker spent the last five years coaching at Alamo Heights High School. His experience there will surely benefit the Brahmas as they prepare for the challenges ahead.

With Ricker now at the helm, Brahma fans are eager to see how he will influence the team dynamics and performance as they move forward in the new football season.
