Cincinnati, Ohio – The excitement is building in Cincinnati as the date has been set for the 2025 Southwest Ohio Scouting Combine. Scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, this year’s combine will take place at eight different schools from the Greater Miami Conference, along with Kings from the Eastern Cincinnati Conference. This event provides a fantastic opportunity for college coaches to scout some of the best young talents in the area.

Among the participating schools, two have new faces at the helm. Jordan Stevens has made the move from Mt. Healthy to coach at Colerain, while Darryn Chenault has taken over at Sycamore after serving as an assistant coach at Little Miami for a year. Their leadership will be crucial as these programs showcase their top players at the combine.

The scouting combine is expected to highlight promising players from the class of 2026 and beyond. In past years, several standout athletes have emerged from these schools, including Talon Fisher, who progressed from Fairfield to Gardner-Webb, Kage Payne, who went from Kings to North Carolina State, Mitch Bolden, from Lakota West to Miami (Ohio), Malik Verdon from Hamilton to Iowa State, and J.T. Kitna from Lakota East to Bowling Green. These paths reflect the recruiting prowess of local programs and show the potential talent on display this upcoming May.

As the combine approaches, anticipation grows not just among the players but also within the local community, eager to support the rising stars. With several new coaching strategies and young talents ready to make a mark, this event promises to be a pivotal day for high school football in the area.
