Tatum Bell Jr. Transfers to Lewisville ISD for Continued Development

Frisco, Texas – Wideout Tatum Bell Jr. is set to make a change in his high school football journey. His father, Tatum Bell Sr., a former NFL running back, announced that he will transfer his son from Frisco Independent School District (ISD) to Lewisville ISD. The decision came after Bell Sr. expressed concerns about how Frisco ISD managed his son’s situation.

On his X/Twitter account, Bell Sr. stated, “We made the decision to transfer my son, Tatum Jr., from Frisco ISD to Lewisville ISD because Frisco ISD failed to handle his situation fairly. The false accusations against him and the lack of proper communication created an environment that was neither supportive nor just.” He emphasized that the move was to ensure his son receives the “fair treatment and respect he deserves.”

As a player, Bell Jr. showcased his talents during the 2024 Texas high school football season, achieving impressive stats with 1,167 total yards and 11 touchdowns. Over 29 games with the Coyotes, he has racked up 1,700 yards and 20 touchdowns, earning recognition as a two-time All-District performer.

Shifting to Lewisville ISD, Bell Jr. will join a squad that finished with a solid 7-4 record in the previous season, compared to Frisco Heritage High School’s 5-5 finish. The Lewisville team, known as the Fighting Farmers, ended its last season with a playoff loss to Allen, who ranked ninth in the On3 Texas Composite Team Rankings.

Now at Lewisville, Bell Jr. has the chance to step into a leadership role, particularly after the departures of successful players like Michael Fasusi and Zephen Walker, who have moved on to college football. He is expected to team up with offensive players like Deontae Weathers and Tenel Hill, looking to make a significant impact.

Tatum Bell Sr. knows a thing or two about football, having played professionally after being drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. The former Oklahoma State standout enjoyed a five-season career, amassing 2,773 rushing yards, 419 receiving yards, and 20 touchdowns. His dedication to his son’s growth is a testament to the family’s commitment to excellence in football.
