Connecticut High School Football Alliance Releases 2025 Season Schedule

Connecticut – The Connecticut High School Football Alliance (CHSFA) has announced the schedule for the 2025 football season, featuring 121 teams from seven of the state’s football leagues. This league operates separately from the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC), while still adhering to its governing standards.

The schedule, which doesn’t have specific dates yet, will showcase teams from the Naugatuck Valley League, a new addition to the alliance this year. According to reports, the alliance will hold a total of 129 games throughout the season, with the opening week featuring an exciting 61 matchups. These initial games were arranged based on how teams performed in last season’s playoffs.

Due to the inclusion of independent teams and some conferences having an uneven number of teams, the alliance has scheduled additional games in consecutive weeks. In the previous season, the CHSFA arranged 101 games, with the Southwest Conference (SWC) achieving the best record of 19-15 (.558). The Southern Connecticut Conference (SCC) followed closely with a 27-24 (.529) record, and the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC) recorded 16-15 (.516).

Since its inception in 2017, the CHSFA has organized a total of 531 games, with the exception of the 2020 season when CIAC canceled the games due to the pandemic. This season’s opening weekend will feature top-ranked teams, including New Canaan, which finished second in the Connecticut On3 Composite Team Rankings. Fourth-ranked Greenwich will kick off their season on the road, while fifth-ranked Staples will play at home.

Fans and players alike can look forward to an exciting 2025 season as various teams compete to rise to the top of their leagues. A complete schedule from Weeks 1 to 11 is available for viewers to access and plan ahead.
