The game was a testament to the skills of both teams as they battled fiercely for the postseason win. Hoban had some standout moments, notably from sophomore Brayton Feister, who played a crucial role with key runs in the fourth quarter, making a significant impact with 172 rushing yards on 28 attempts, including a vital touchdown.
Junior Trent Hayden showcased his playmaking ability, throwing two touchdown passes to junior Jackson Callaway, who caught two passes for 38 yards. The hosts took a firm hold of the game with a touchdown in the second quarter that brought the score to 21-14, shortly after a 47-yard pass from Hayden to John Johnson.
