2024 High School Football Playoffs Set to Kick Off in New Jersey
New Jersey is gearing up for an exciting season of high school football as the 2024 non-public school playoff brackets have been revealed. The playoff action kicks off this Friday, November 8, with the Non-Public B first round, featuring some of the state’s top teams battling it out for a chance to progress.
In the Non-Public A bracket, only eight teams made the cut, which means that the first matches will be the quarterfinals, taking place on November 15 and 16. The matchups for these games are as follows:
- (8) Seton Hall Prep at (1) Bergen Catholic
- (5) St. Peter’s Prep at (4) St. Joseph (Montvale)
- (6) St. Augustine at (3) Delbarton
- (7) St. Joseph (Metuchen) at (2) Don Bosco
The Non-Public B first round will also feature some competitive games, including:
- (9) Immaculata at (8) Paul VI
- (12) St. Mary at (5) St. Thomas Aquinas
- (13) Donovan Catholic at (4) Holy Spirit
- (14) Hudson Catholic at (3) Paramus Catholic
- (11) Camden Catholic at (6) Pope John
- (10) St. John Vianney at (7) Notre Dame
- (2) Red Bank Catholic received a bye
The schedule for the playoffs is packed: after the first round on November 8-9, teams will advance to the quarterfinals on November 15-16, with the semifinals set for November 22-23. Finally, the excitement culminates in the state finals, which will take place on November 29, December 1, and December 4.
