Exciting First-Round Matchups for High School Football Playoffs

This coming Friday marks an exciting day for high school football in Michigan as the first-round matchups for the playoffs are set to kick off at 7 p.m. There’s lots of action to look forward to across the state as teams geared up for a shot at the championship.

In Region 1, District 1, we have East Kentwood (5-4) traveling to face Hudsonville (8-1). Meanwhile, Grandville (5-4) is set to take on Rockford (7-2). Both games will surely create lots of buzz among local fans.

Moving to District 2 within Region 1, Kalamazoo Central (6-3) will face the high-performing Howell (9-0), and Grand Ledge (5-4) takes on Brighton (7-2), promising some thrilling matchups.

In Region 2, District 1, Lapeer (5-4) is set to meet Grand Blanc (7-2), and Oxford (6-3) faces Davison (7-2). District 2 in this region has Rochester Hills Stoney Creek (5-4) playing Rochester Adams (7-2), while Clarkston (6-3) goes against Lake Orion (6-3).

The matchups get more exciting in Region 3, where Ann Arbor Pioneer (5-4) heads toward Belleville (8-1) and Saline (6-3) faces Northville (6-3) in District 1. In District 2, Livonia Stevenson (5-4) will challenge Detroit Catholic Central (9-0) while West Bloomfield (4-5) matches up against Novi (5-4).

As we head into Region 4, fans can expect to see some great games. Sterling Heights Stevenson (5-4) will visit Detroit Cass Tech (7-2), and Dearborn (5-4) will have a tough contest against Dearborn Fordson (5-4) in District 1. District 2 has Utica (4-5) squaring off with Macomb Dakota (8-1), and Romeo (4-5) challenging Utica Eisenhower (7-2).
