Gorman’s offense made waves with a total of 490 offensive yards and nine TDs, solidifying their position as the top team in the 5A Division I.
Over at Desert Oasis, the Diamondbacks stunned the 10th-ranked Durango Trailblazers with a strong 35-6 victory. Quarterback Vincent Hales shone brightly by throwing four touchdown passes, while Chris Villasenor also contributed with three TDs. The Diamondbacks have clinched the No. 3 postseason seed and are gearing up for their next challenge against the No. 6 seed Sunrise Mountain.
Meanwhile, Coronado battled to a 29-15 win against Foothill. The Cougars, now ranked fourth, saw late-game rushing touchdowns from Aiden Krause and Derek Hurley that propelled them to victory. They will face the powerhouse Bishop Gorman next.
