Wisconsin High School Football Rankings: Changes and Surprises

This week in Wisconsin, the high school football landscape has been shaken up significantly as the On3 Massey Ratings released their updated Top 25 list on October 7th. After a series of exciting games, four of the top ten teams have switched places, and a new contender has made an entrance into the rankings. As teams battle it out on the field, the competition has become intense, with only six teams remaining undefeated in the state.

At the top of the rankings, the Mukwonago Indians have claimed the prestigious first spot after a strong performance against the Oconomowoc team, defeating them 28-6. Star running back Mason Radobicky shined with 138 rushing yards and two touchdowns, along with another receiving touchdown from quarterback Mason Kelley. Mukwonago now holds a 6-1 record and is set to face Waukesha West on the 11th.

Following closely, the New Richmond Tigers moved up to the second position following a 27-14 victory over the Menomonie team. Quarterback Nick Stellrecht was impressive, throwing three touchdown passes to different receivers. On the other hand, the Sabers, still undefeated with a 7-0 record, knocked down Kenosha Tremper with a staggering score of 55-7. QB Joey Kallay threw six touchdown passes, distributing scoring opportunities to his teammates, making the Sabers a team that others will be looking to challenge.

Meanwhile, after a narrow loss, the former top team Indian Trail dropped to fourth place. Although they faced their first defeat against Neenah, standout performances from players like Braedon Ellefson kept hopes alive for future games. On October 11th, Indian Trail faces a challenging match against Milwaukee Hamilton.

The Hilltoppers of Kimberly also made headlines by dominating Brookfield Central with a score of 52-7. Their balanced offensive options resulted in four different players scoring touchdowns, showcasing the team’s depth and coordination. As Kimberly prepares to battle Kaukauna, the stakes are high, and fans are eager to see how their favored team bounces back.

Another interesting matchup to keep an eye on is the Warhawks, who are looking to extend their winning streak to seven games against Hamilton post a decisive 46-7 win over Waukesha West. Star running back Jacob Siner led the chase with two rushing touchdowns, proving the Warhawks are a force to be reckoned with this season.

As the Wisconsin high school football scene heats up, fans can expect thrilling matchups and nail-biting action in the weeks to come. The fierce competition, alongside impressive performances from players, keeps the excitement alive as teams strive to stake their claim in the rankings.
