Big Performances in Week 5 of South Carolina High School Football

This past weekend showcased an action-packed Week 5 in the South Carolina high school football season. Exceptional players delivered standout performances, providing excitement for fans and fueling team victories across the state.

The Pelion Panthers made headlines with their dominating win against Hilton Head Christian, finishing the game with a score of 59-20. Senior star had an incredible game, carrying the ball 26 times for an astonishing 420 yards and scoring 4 touchdowns, including a long run of 66 yards. He also contributed by catching 3 passes for 34 yards.

Another notable performance came from Williams, who excelled in Pelion’s 27-12 victory over Eau Claire. He scored off a blocked punt, returned a fumble for a touchdown, and made an interception, showcasing his defensive prowess.

In a nail-biter, Buford held off a comeback from North Central, ultimately winning 41-36 as Rudolph celebrated a personal triumph with four touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Rebels managed to secure a 14-3 victory against Dorman, thanks to Montgomery’s significant contribution, which included a blocked punt and nine tackles.

On the quarterback front, Northwestern’s performance was impressive as they soared to a 59-17 victory over Catawba Ridge with their quarterback throwing four touchdown passes and rushing for another.

In further highlights, Watters shined in Hartsville’s 49-6 rout of Wilson with four touchdowns, while McNeil helped secure the Raiders’ 48-34 victory over Chester with his own four-touchdown effort.
