Indianapolis is feeling the impact of Hurricane Helene as many local high school football games have been postponed or canceled. With the storm remnants moving through Indiana, schools are taking precautions to prioritize the safety of their students and athletes.
Officials have announced that all after-school activities, including athletic events organized by the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), are officially canceled for today. Makeup times for these events are still to be determined.
For those games originally slated for Friday night in the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, they have been rescheduled for Saturday, September 27, with specific times yet to be announced. Many other games have also been postponed to Saturday, including:
