NFL High School Football Rankings Update: Week 3

This week, in the city of Chicago, the high school football scene saw some big moves in the Super 25 rankings after a bustling Week 2 of play. As **two weeks of football** have passed, teams have started to find their footing, while others are still trying to figure things out. The top of the rankings has mostly stayed steady, showcasing the strength of a few leading teams.

However, it was a tough week for some teams, as Hersey, Carmel, Glenbard West, and St. Ignatius all fell out of the Super 25. Both Joliet Catholic and Wheaton-Warrenville South nearly faced the same fate but will stay in for now, as they have another chance to prove themselves. Joliet Catholic suffered a loss to Lake Forest, while St. Ignatius was defeated by Fenwick.

Hersey and Glenbard West have started the season at 0-2, facing tough opponents, which also contributed to their drop off the list. On the flip side, Oswego and Wheaton North made strong cases to be part of this week’s rankings. Oswego showed their toughness by achieving a shutout against Joliet Catholic and also winning against Neuqua Valley. Wheaton North has surprised some fans with wins against Providence and Lockport, making their presence felt early.

Adding to the excitement, the Friars made their entry into the rankings after defeating St. Ignatius and Prairie Ridge, showcasing their storied program. This leaves a number of teams eager to break into the rankings, including Geneva, Homewood-Flossmoor, Lake Forest, and more.
