This week marks Week 3 of the Tennessee high school football season, and it was filled with exciting action across the state. A total of over 40 games were played with teams battling it out for supremacy in their respective regions.
In Memphis, the Memphis Business team secured a solid win against Lewisburg (MS) with a score of 34-22. Over in Twin Springs, VA, the home team triumphed over Unaka with a score of 39-20, showcasing their offensive strength.
In Jefferson County, Anderson Co claimed victory over Bearden, winning 35-18, while Baylor achieved a dominant 49-21 win against Coconut Creek from Florida. Not to be outdone, Bledsoe Co posted a striking score with a 49-8 defeat of Sale Creek.
Region games were also critical this week, as highlighted by Coalfield’s overwhelming shutout of Greenback, totaling 60-0. Meanwhile, Dobyns Bennett continues to show their prowess, defeating West Ridge 42-13 in another impressive regional match.
In Maryville, the team secured a 38-0 win against Bradley Central, while Knoxville Catholic enjoyed a comfortable margin over Winter Haven, FL, ending the game at 34-14.
The action didn’t stop there, as Johnston Co turned heads with a stunning shutout against Claiborne, finishing 54-0, and Greeneville dominated Cherokee with a score of 46-0 as well. Gibbs also took a strong win with a 35-14 victory against Karns.
